Liquid culture nutrient solution for mushroom propagation (1/2 pint/~200 mL, 1 pint/~400 mL, or 1 quart/~950 mL). Marble added upon request.

Using as little as 0.5-1 cc/mL of existing solution or a small agar wedge, you can easily retain and propagate the best-performing strains of your gourmet and exotic fungi and put them in refrigerated storage for up to 2 years with little to no impact on culture viability. Turn one 10 cc syringe into gallons of solution within weeks!

Each lid has 1 self-healing injection port and 1 Tyvek-covered port to encourage gas exchange. Other "leak-free" lids tend to be anything but after being jostled in shipment. To remedy this, we apply an autoclave-proof non-water-permeable membrane over the top of the jars before screwing on the lids. The jars are then sterilized at pressure for 90 minutes. When you inoculate the solution, you simply insert your syringe through the injection port and pierce the membrane allowing gas exchange to commence. To withdraw your mycelium-filled solution into syringes, insert a sterile needle, tip the jar over, and withdraw the solution into your sterile syringes. It's as simple as that!

Then, use your liquid culture solution to cleanly and quickly inoculate grain/BRF jars/bags, agar plates/jars, or additional sterile culture solutions.

Each jar and modified lid are reusable.

* Due to fluctuating jar availability, half-pint jars may be either short or tall. Surface area is the same for both types of jar and growth potential is identical.

Liquid culture nutrient solution can be left on a dark shelf for months with no degradation in quality as long as the non-permeable membrane isn't pierced.
